you know why the Pilgrims celebrated with a big feast in the fall? It was to
celebrate the end
of the harvest and all the work that was done to provide food for the winter
months. You see, their first winter the Pilgrims didn’t have enough food
to get them through the winter and many of the Pilgrims died. It wasn’t until
the next winter, with the help of the Indians, that the Pilgrims had enough
food to make it through that Winter. And, that is what lead to a big fall festival
and a celebration that is now called, Thanksgiving.
