For years and years people have been hanging out Christmas Stockings as a way to put small gifts inside that their children will receive on Christmas Day. However, there are legendary theories about where the Christmas Stocking actually came from.

One legendary story tells of a very poor man that didn’t have a dowry for his three daughters. On Christmas Eve he left three stockings out on top of the fireplace where St. Nick filled each with gold coins on Christmas Day.

There are many other legends claiming where the Christmas Stocking originated from. But, where ever the Christmas Stocking came from it is obviously a Christmas Tradition that is going to remain around for a long, long time.

I love Fall. Fall is a beautiful season full of change. The leaves are changing…. the leaves turn all different shades of color. Some leaves are red, yellow, orange and brown. The warm weather is beginning to change as well. It becomes a bit crisp outside with quite a bit of wind. When you take a walk outside it is hard not to notice the beauty of your surroundings. Yes, summer is leaving us and winter will be coming, but for the time behind we are left with a kind of beauty that only the Season of Fall could bring.

Notice this coloring page…. you see how this young boy has a very unhappy face? I believe he is unhappy not because of the work he is doing, but because he is raking plain white leaves.
